The Mental Illness Awareness Coalition's show

The Mental Illness Awareness Coalition joined with Knoxville's First Friday Art Walk in October 2008, to showcase the impact of art therapy. The first show took place on Friday, Oct. 3 2008, in a stunning exhibit area at 108 South Gay Street. The gallery space for this special exhibit was donated by Dewhirst Properties. The show featured art created by consumers of menttal health services through local art therapy programs.

This was the first show, but they hope to make this a yearly tradition during Mental Health Awareness Month. This gallery contains photos of our first exhibit. You can read about the show seen in this gallery here.
