The art scene in this town has exploded in the last few years, and trying to find anything in the way of information on galleries and artists participating in First Friday events has been difficult, if not impossible. I’m one of those people that believe that if you want it done, you might as well do it yourself, so here we are. I’m Steve Lareau, a digital artist living in Clinton, and I’ve built this place to be THE place to come for information for artists, galleries, and the public to get the scoop on what’s going on in Knoxville. All you need to remember is the city and the event- KnoxvilleFirstFriday.com It can’t get any simpler than that.
Artists will find out about galleries and businesses that are part of the First Friday events in town that you didn’t know about. Galleries will discover artists that have been right underneath their noses that they’ve never discovered. And the public will find galleries to visit and artists to see, all in one central location- right here at Knoxville First Friday.
I hope to be able to include as many artists and businesses that participate in First Friday Events in the area. There are plenty of shows going on every month, in towns big and small, and this site will make it easy to find all the details for First Friday events in Knoxville.
